Alexandra White

Criminal Defence Solicitor

Alex qualified as a Solicitor in 2014 and specialises in Criminal Defence and Prison Law. Alex is also a qualified Solicitor Advocate with her higher rights of audience in the Crown Court and represents clients in Magistrates Courts throughout Yorkshire and the North East.

As well as attending the courts Alex regularly represents clients at the police station. She has a great rapport with clients and has established her own client base in her time at Chivers. In addition to general crime, Alex has experience dealing with private clients for Driving offences and exceptional hardship arguments.

Alex also attends Independent Adjudications within Prisons dealing with clients throughout the North of England.

Notable cases include:

R v Hanslip 2018

Successful appeal against sentence case in the Court of appeal.

R v Taylor 2018

A case involving a serving prisoner in possession in of two mobile phones in prison. No days were added to his sentence.

R v S 2015

Youth case where the Defendant avoided conviction and the case was referred back to the police station for a caution.

R v M 2014

This case involved a child rape.

R v K 2014

Successful exceptional hardship application in the Magistrates court where the Defendant kept her driving licence.
